If you select "If character comes across..an object then display message..
Doesn't seem to work at all, nor does if character comes across a character.
Checking this in debugger the character does the walk as intended and completes it but no output for activity.

This definitely does not work. I have programmed a walk where the NPC enters a room where there is a bed. The NPC is supposed to hide a box under the bed when he sees it. In the walk activity I have "If character comes across object a bed then execute task NPC HIDES BOX". I have checked this with the debugger and this task will only execute if the PC is in the same location as the NPC. If the PC is in the same room as the bed, the task works and the box is placed under the bed. If the PC is in a different room from the bed, the task fails as the bed is not present.
I have also tried this substituting the task for a message and the result was the same. |

I checked Lazzah's file and reproduced the bug. |

I made a demo with some observations that might help iron out the bugs or not.

Mainly to Campbell: It might be dangerous to fix this as this may cause backwards compatibility issues. People might have activated this, realised it did not work and made another solution without disabling the first approach. In general, please consider all the "external" interpreters like Gargoyle, Frankendrift and Fabularium before doing any changes. It is okay that Adrift 4 games don't play well in Adrift 5 but if Adrift 5 games also stop working, it becomes really bad. |
