Cursor  Editing a task from an event control causes error

Open an event that has a task control.
Select a task from the dropdown if not already selected.
Press the edit button to the right of the selected task name.
When the task opens, close it (either OK or Cancel).

The task-list dropdown has now mysteriously morphed into a group-list dropdown (and doing anything with it will cause an exception).
