Where Am I? is my very 1st working / winnable adventure. I’m posting it moreso in looking for advice / constructive criticisms from other experienced programmers than anything else to assist in my own teaching myself how to program IF/text adventures.
The character Jack has awoken to unexpectedly find himself trapped in a door free room. To win the game, the player must solve the puzzle that allows Jack his freedom.
A great many thanks to any and all for any input that you may have. :)

"Meh" or "Blegh?", Thu 18th Aug 2011

Fairly typical first-time author's one-room, ontological mystery wannabe, escape game with no contextualizing story or conflict beyond an arbitrary, red herring switch puzzle, an object that can be read even when its normal description says it is "too dark," and a lame "twist" ending.

Originally submitted to the community for feedback, but since the author hasn't returned despite fairly glowing initial reviews and encouragement, I think we can safely assume this one has been flushed down a n00b WIP black hole.

A curious experiment that takes advantage of the game engine’s ability to make traveling feel like you are on a treadmill. I would like to see this idea expanded.

In "Where am I" you find yourself in a 9 x 9 ft. room with no obvious exits, and very little infor about what to do (which is actually intriguing)
This being Rich’s first Adrift game I find it well written, and quite "irritating" at times.. But it is absolutely worth playing.
Personally I will be looking forward to see what he cooks up next.
