A Difficult Puzzle is inspired by two quite different games, i.e. Junior Arithmancer by Mike Spivey and the Hard Puzzle series by Ade McT. Beta-tested by Larry Horsfield. Thanks!

It won the P/o Prune's Mini Competition in 2021. This new version (2022) makes it optional if you want to play it as a limited parser game or as a standard parser game.

"Limited parser"-mode has two advantages:
1. Easier for people new to parser games
2. shortcuts for commands which must be repeated often, e.g. simply type P to put the book back in the recess etc.

Tough and annoyingly addictive, Thu 20th May 2021

As the header says: This game is tough and annoyingly addictive. It seems easy enough but if you don't concentrate you can find yourself in a pickle.
Having said that, I must hurry and emphasize that this is by no means a bad thing. The game is intriguing and you will probably end up, just like me, wanting to beat the game just because.
