If the player is sitting on a horse (character) or a motorbike (object) and that object/character is moved to a new location, then the old location on the map still says "Carpark (Sitting on a horse)", and is still highlighted in yellow as if it is the players location.

Even if you use actions to move the player to standing on the floor, move the player and horse separately, and then put the player back on the horse, the map still does not update.

A possible workaround is to switch the players POV to a combined "player on horse" character that replaces the separate player and horse characters.

This behavior is how dark rooms work at the moment though - those won't update until you are standing in them with a light source. If you removed them from the dark room group, those locations would keep the label until the player returned, otherwise they could gain information from the map update without actually having been there, which would be strange.
