A Difficult Puzzle is inspired by several games, i.e. Junior Arithmancer by Mike Spivey, the Hard Puzzle series by Ade McT and the puzzle style of Jim MacBrayne's games, e.g. Time's Enigma. Beta-tested by Larry Horsfield. Thanks!
It won the P/o Prune's Mini Competition in 2021. This new version (2022) makes it optional if you want to play it as a limited parser game or as a standard parser game.
"Limited parser"-mode has two advantages:
1. Easier for people new to parser games
2. shortcuts for commands which must be repeated often, e.g. simply type P to put the book back in the recess etc.

Tough and annoyingly addictive, Thu 20th May 2021

As the header says: This game is tough and annoyingly addictive. It seems easy enough but if you don't concentrate you can find yourself in a pickle.
Having said that, I must hurry and emphasize that this is by no means a bad thing. The game is intriguing and you will probably end up, just like me, wanting to beat the game just because. |
