Currently the cover art image can't be set as a GIF, even though the little preview section will successfully show and play a GIF. When trying to do this (after choosing "all files" and selecting the GIF) the generator gives me a message when I click OK or Apply that says I can only set jpegs or png files as cover art. The generator also gives that error when trying to save afterwards.

The game exe can be run with the GIF set as cover art even despite the errors, but when the game runs the GIF is static and brings up the "Failed to save cover art" error again.

The reason for this is because ADRIFT is a member of the Treaty of Babel, and the only allowed formats for coverart are PNG and JPG. I may well change this to allow GIFs, but there will be a warning to say that this may cause problems for software that can read Treaty games.

I suspected that might be the case. Still, it would be great to be able to make the splash screen an animation. Maybe the splash screen could be a separate image to the cover art? That way you could have the cover art Babel-friendly and still have animated splash screens.
