I was trying to make a general task for adhesive objects with the intention of turning them into a part of what they were attached to. However, in the Set Properties dialog in the Action tab for creating tasks I don’t have the ability to reference ’Referenced Object 2’ and would have to pick a specific object to parent ’Referenced Object 1’ to, which makes it more like a specific task.

On further reflection, it would seem that I would need to change the adhesive object from a dynamic object to a static object in order for this to work because dynamic objects can’t currently be a part of another object?

I revisited this idea to see if I might find a way, but the original problem is still there. If I use either of the following syntaxes below, I still don't see the %object2% reference available on the right hand side of the task action, which forces me to hard-code it to an object instead of being able to set it to a reference. This prevents one from doing a Generic task with Specific overrides setup like how the standard library is typically set up.

attach %objects% to %object2%
attach %object1% to %object2%
